EACH KISS TO ITS OWN TIME

In this unusual programme, femme totale have cherry-picked a film that reflect the spirit and setting of its time: one per film history decade. How have female characters and the canon
of love changed over the years? How are certain relationship patterns anchored in the times
in which they are set? Although this journey through cine-history is not meant to be representative as such, it will throw light on specific features which were perhaps only conceivable in the relevant context. Our selection includes films from Italy, France, the USA, Finland, Canada and Japan.
